CleanerDesk Support & Operational Guides

Find clear, task-based instructions to set up, operate, and back up your CleanerDesk workspace.

1

Installation & Launching

Download the installer for your operating system (macOS DMG or Windows Setup EXE). Open the installer and follow standard OS installation instructions to launch CleanerDesk.

2

System Requirements

CleanerDesk is a desktop application for macOS and Windows. Final supported OS versions will be confirmed with the certified production release. CleanerDesk is local-first: initial activation and occasional brief internet access are required for license verification, while normal operation can continue offline between successful verification periods. One purchase entitles the licensed cleaning business to use CleanerDesk on up to four active computers, with macOS and Windows installations allowed in any combination within that allowance.

3

Configuring Your Rates

Navigate to Business Settings → Section 3 to set your base hourly target ($45–$75/hr), square footage multipliers, minimum job charges ($120–$180), and add-on pricing.

4

Profit Guard Setup

Enter your team labor wage rate ($18–$25/hr), cleaning supplies overhead allowance (typically 5–8%), travel rate ($0.35/mile baseline), and target profit margin (typically 40–55%).

5

Quoting in 30 Seconds

Open Quote Calculator, enter bedrooms, bathrooms, and square footage. Choose a condition multiplier and review your estimated margin in Profit Guard before copying or printing.

6

Converting Quotes to Jobs

When a homeowner approves an estimate, open the quote in your Quotes Pipeline and click Convert to Active Job. CleanerDesk transfers customer details and price directly to your schedule.

7

Invoicing & Payment Tracking

Open any completed job to generate an itemized invoice. Print to PDF, record partial or full payments, and log payment methods (Zelle, check, cash, or card transaction IDs).

8

CleanerDesk Calibrator

After completing jobs, log your actual on-site hours. Calibrator analyzes variance against your original estimates to help you adjust your baseline square footage speeds.

9

Regular Data Backups

Go to Data & Backup and click Export .cqbackup weekly. Save your exported backup file to a local folder, external drive, network storage, or cloud-synced folder such as Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive, or iCloud Drive to reduce the risk of accidental data loss.
